Professorial Fellow in Surgery and Ophthalmology in The University of Melbourne. He is also a Visiting Professor at the National Heart Centre, SingHealth in Singapore for his collaborations in cardiac regenerative medicine and surgery, and in ChonBuk National University, BIN Fusion WCU Program in JeonJu, Korea. He has built a distinguished international reputation in endothelial and cardiovascular pharmacology over 30 years with more than 300 publications which have attracted over 7000 citations. In early years he was a drug discovery scientist at Wellcome Research plc in the UK, had a pioneering role in a heart drug on the international market, and later co-invented another drug now in Phase 2 clinical trial. He is Associate Editor of 5 international journals, and was elected a Fellow of the British Pharmacological Society in 2005, recently awarded the Michael Rand Medal for Pharmacology and several prizes from the International Society for Hypertension and Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has trained 8 full professors of Pharmacology or Medicine now in prestigious academies in Australia, USA and China
