EMCR Networking Session

On Thursday 6 August, there was a fantastic buzz of energy and excitement at the ISHR–ACvA EMCR Networking Session. ACvA Emerging Leaders Committee (ELC) member Dr Daniel Donner shared his insights, joining fellow ELC members and ACvA early- and mid-career researchers for an opportunity to connect, exchange experiences and build relationships.

Accelerating Translation and Maximising Impact

On Friday 7 August, the Accelerating Translation and Maximising Impact session provided an opportunity to share ACvA’s vision and mission, while exploring strategic initiatives that are bringing researchers and stakeholders across the sector together around shared priorities.

We heard from EMCRs, initiative co-leads and their colleagues about their current research and the ways collaborative approaches can help accelerate progress.

Connecting research and innovation to the health system

Our third joint session, held on Saturday 8 August, was CSANZ and ACvA: Connecting Australian and NZ research and innovation to the "health system dial". This session took a broader look at how research and innovation can be effectively connected with the health system to improve outcomes for patients and communities.

Presentations and panel discussions brought together local and international perspectives, exploring the opportunities and challenges involved in moving innovation from research into practice and ensuring it reaches the people who can benefit from it.
