Transforming Health Together
We drive strategic initiatives to create a thriving cardiovascular research sector tackling, our biggest health burden.

Clinical Themes Initiative
Our Clinical Themes Initiative brings the sector together to drive coordinated, mission-led strategies for cardiovascular disease. The Initiative fosters national multidisciplinary collaborations to prioritise and address unmet needs in hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, stroke and arrhythmia.

Health Leadership Research Forum
The Health Leadership Research Forum is a government engagement platform connecting health systems with the research sector. It brings together health leaders, researchers, and data experts to identify system priorities where research can drive solutions and evaluate impact.

Capacity Building
We support the development and leadership of Early- and Mid-Career Researchers by providing access to senior researchers and broader networks through mentoring and professional development programs. Our annual EMCR Summit further drives national action to strengthen workforce sustainability in cardiovascular research.

Advocacy
We present a unified voice and advocate for the research sector, championing strategic investment, research translation, and the essential role of discovery in improving health outcomes. We advocate for funding and policy that supports bold, mission-focused research and innovative strategies to address cardiovascular disease, Australia’s number one killer.
