This dynamic group of Early- and Mid-Career Researchers will help drive initiatives that spark leadership, strengthen collaboration, and champion innovation across Australia’s cardiovascular research community. The ELC plays a vital role in shaping opportunities that genuinely support EMCRs and build the pipeline of future leaders in our field.

Working closely with the ACvA Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), the ELC provides advice on how best to engage and develop the next generation of researchers. In 2026, the ELC Chair will also be supported by a SAC representative in a mentorship-style partnership which will create a stronger alignment with ACvA strategy.
